I am moving this to ~Elswhere~

My two cents worth:

I don't think any one person created the universe. I think it has always existed, though changing over time via big bangs ect.

To date, no one has told me who created god, only affirmed he has always existed.

Actually, to answer his question, I created the universe and all the wonders in it. I did it two minutes ago; everything simply popped into existance as you see it just because I willed it. Even the memories of all humans on Earth, to give you all a sense of continuity. Now prove me wrong.

I've always been one to enjoy the great outdoors. There's nothing as nice as a beautiful sunrise or sunset. A full moon with a sky full of stars is a wonder to the eye. How about the four seasons with everything springing to life in the spring after a long winters nap and then growing and blossoming through the summer. And what a beautiful sight the changing of the leaves is. I could go on and on, but you've seen it all for yourselves.

As a believer, I had always thanked God for putting these things here for our enjoyment, but you say that there is no God. Well ok then, if that's the case, do me one small favor.

Would you please tell me the name of the HUMAN responsible for putting all of the above mentioned wonders here for us to enjoy. I would like to give him my personal thanks and apologize for not giving him his just dues in the first place.

Ahh, the innocence of youth!

Well, Sonny, I've got some bad news:

While the sunrises and sunsets on this wonderful little world are beautiful, no one person can claim "responsibility" for them. There were billions and billions of sunrises and sunsets long before humans were around to enjoy them .

Also, I find it incredibly arrogant that you would assume that ALL of this beauty and wonder was simply "created" for our enjoyment.

As if a supreme being had nothing better to do than amuse a handful of humans!

I knew Bob Dylan was a good songwriter, but I didn't know he was God. That explains some things...

What a silly question. It was all created by Hubert the Beaver. After he built his first dam, he just had to out do himself so he created the Universe. If Mr. Burnett does not believe this it is quite okay with Hubert. Unlike mythical beings like "god" or allah, Hubert will not throw a hissy fit and send you to hell.

Thanks, Sonny. I needed a good laugh.

We don't believe any "being," whether a human or a make believe fairy tale kinda like your god "created" anything.

braces: I agree with your assessment.

I, for one, would like to thank God so very much for creating things like cancer, malaria, mental illnesses, the bubonic plague, leprosy, earthquakes, floods and other such things.

Cheers,

Michael
