Post New Baptist Board Censorship Policy

Note the following post from the Administrator of the BB Evo-Cre board:

<a href="http://www.baptistboard.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=36;t=000160" target="_blank">http://www.baptistboard.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=36;t=000160</a>

which says, in part "If a question is asked from a Christian about creation, then all answers will be limited to answers from other Christians who are also discussing creation and not denying it."

From now on, this topic will be about discussing how unquestionably great I am. Replies will be limited to people agreeing ONLY and all those who don't speak of how great I am will have their posts deleted as to avoid conflict for the children.

Well, gee, someone's looking for their favourite answer.

This is the main thing I have against religion.

This is called, "Tryin' to hedge yer bets." Very popular amongst those who gamble, but shouldn't.

I lurk the BB a little, but alas, it's amusement value is fading. <img src="graemlins/boohoo.gif" border="0" alt="[Boo Hoo]" />

Try Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing if childish and repetitivly boring exercises lead by an American Psycho era Black businesswoman sounds appealing. It failed miserably for me.

Thanks Daydreamer, but nah. I'm too old a dog to let any more fingers than two get involved in typing. Those two are bad enough - don't want the rest of them ganging up on me.

and then the lord said "let there be chat, that people may learn to type quickly"

And so it was
and it was good.

still, pity it wasn't a catholic board that did this.

then there'd have been more room about comments on Catholics being good at stopping the spread of information and covering things up (arguing with someone who seems to think it's the victims at fault at the moment... sickening)

Makes sense to me: Christians don't discuss things in order to have their beliefs questioned; they discuss things in order to have their beliefs confirmed.

You are SO right.

But seriously, if you've ever sat in a fundie "bible study", the LAST thing they typically do is study the damn thing, they just mine it for quotes to shore up their preconceived notions.

But like I said earlier, all humor aside, you are spot on in your assessment of (most) xian "discussions".

I posted a thread about this policy about 2 weeks ago.

BaptistBoard has come out of the closet and admited that they are in favor of creationism. Now we don't have to wonder why they actively sheild Helen from critism.
