Post My response

While debating with a religious person, I was asked why I refer him to other sources or use cut and paste replies. Here is my response. Not as eloquent as many, but may serve you as a basis for a rebuttal:

I use existing resources that parallel my own points. What is gained by repeatedly researching and posting the same things over and over again when someone has made it all availiable online for easy reference? Sounds foolish to me.

You will find that many atheists refer you to online articles or sources. Why? Because we hear the same arguements day in and day out. Rather than spend our time addressing the flock individually, we give the form letter reply. Come up with an original arguement, and you will have a personalized response.

A little hint to all the devoted mythologists: We aren't atheist because no one told us about (insert favorite deity here). Choosing to preach to us as if we just need to be told about it will put you very low on the list of priorities. Much like an annoying child, you will be ignored until we have the time and luxury to give you the attention you crave.
Try an original approach. This does not mean reading your favorite Josh Mcdowell or Dr Dino chapter at us either. We have read those books too. Heck, everyone needs a little homorous fiction now and then.
Try a Jack Chick tract while you are at it. We LOVE those!

Well, they all quote the bible all the time, so shouldn't be allowed to use your own sources? Your argument makes sense to me.

And also, unlike them, we get to choose which arguments to use rather than using a magical book of correctness each time.
