New show "The Critical Eye"? on Science Channel?
I only saw the commercial for a split second. I Think the show is called "The Critical Eye" and I thought the ad said it would be on Monday night on the Science channel. It will be hosted by the actor that played CSM on the X Files. Does anybody have any info on the show?

I wonder if he'll talk about belief in god(s). For some reason I doubt it.

Thanks for the info. I doubt that they would directly cover theology, but showing examples of getting evidence before belief may spill over to other subjects. It would be a good show for the kiddies.

The Discovery channel in the past has shown no fear in tackling religion.
They've given air time to both theists and atheists alike. Considering the Science Channel is like Discovery on steroids I have high hopes for the integrity of the show and that they'll tackle difficult topics. |

The Critical Eye is produced in cooperation with CSICOP. CSICOP is the sister organization to the Council for Secular Humanism. While CSICOP tries to remain theologically neutral, it is sometimes biased towards Secular Humanism and Metaphysical Naturalism.

I just hope they don't start showing non scientific programming. It is the Science Channel, after all. The supernatural crap they show on 'The Learning Channel' and 'The Discovery Channel' really bothers me.

Well, that's certainly a good enough endorsement for me. |

Well if the show is produced with CSICOP it should be interesting. I loved the skeptical shorttakes in the Science channel, I hope they do more.
