How many homes should a god have?
Given the multi-cultural world we live in, would it make sense to have not only separation between state and church but separation of church and god?
This approach is aimed at minimizing terror-schism perpetrated by para-statal and para-churchal? figures subverting the name of god toward their own ends. Thoughts? |

How would anyone enforce that? It's an interesting idea, but in order to keep separation of church and state, the churches would have to voluntarily do this on their own, which I don't see them doing.

1. Another religious war is required with the atheists keeping score and the agnostics tending casualties. Of course, we know the result - god always wins! 2. The church-court/food-court model, you know, halal meat and islam in one corner, terrible catholic wine in another and, well, a bagel stall in the corner next to confucious cafe. It all food - just different forms for the soul and different forms for the stomach. 3. An extension of the above would require commerce to operate under the deity guild model with oaths sworn to the goddesses of Victoria's Secret, the devils of the Salman Rushdie section of the book store and the Supreme Being of Godiva Chocolate. 4. The concept would reach its culiminate with god-share vacations in Florida. On Monday be evangelical with dawn hymns on the beach, puritanical (well covered) during the heat of the day breaking your fast when the sun goes down. A chance to experience and contemplate the silly and the sublime. Remember, only one god can do this so make sure to put in time with all the flavors!!
