Indian Muslims and Hindu nationalist


This is how Hindu nationalist sees Indian Mulsims - a community which is being robbed off its own proud heritage for the sake of building political vote banks. Once their roots are cut off from their cultural heritage they become easily the cannon fodder for pan-Arabic expansionist Islam - as terrorists!

It is true that Indian Muslims are part of the larger what-we-call Indian Brotherhood.. but do the Muslims themselves feel comfortable about identifying with Indian/Hindu values, Heritage?

The answer is a clear NO!.

Islam teaches that Mohammed is the Last Prophet and implies that whatever religion that had existed untill his arrival has been rendered obsolete. All the reasons for the existence of other religions are rendered useless by the Last Prophet Mohammed who has delivered the full and final religion for Mankind as desired by Allah.

Why was there a need for Allah to send a new and final Prophet? Muslims answer: All the other Prophets who were send before Mohammed along with their respective books (the Torah of Moses, Psalms of David, Solomon, Injeel or Gospel of Jesus) were limited to a particular race/nation and period in time/history..Morever, these Holy books delivered by the respective Prophets were corrupted over the course of time and therefore their present followers are misled and misguided.
For this reason, Allah send his final 'Seal of Prophets', Mohammed for the whole Humanity with Quran as the Final Testament and Revelation.

Muslims consider the period of Arab History untill the emergence of Mohammed as the 'Era of Ignorance'. Islam is THE genuine religion incomparable with any other.

Now, coming to Indian Muslims,
They believe that Hinduism, being the oldest religion with its origins lost in antiquity, to be a corruption of some Prophet with Vedas as his books.. Some trace King Manu, the Hindu Patriach to Noah and consider themselves the progeny of Noah's first Son.

Having accepted Islam (reverted to, they say), They are at the most ashamed of their Hindu Origins. This origin when referred to in any speech gives them a sense of inferiority to their Arab 'brothers-in-religion'.

Indian Muslims are not proud to have been part of Hindu Heritage during some period of History. Instead they consider themselves fortunate that they are Muslims and that they have found the real truth and light compared to their pagan Indian co-patriots. It doesn't matter to them how their forefathers were converted. They don't, for a minute, sense or think about the circumstance of their conversion.. whether at the edge of the sword or by Sufi Teachers... all that it matters to them is that they are in the right guidance to God.

It is the pathetic Indian Pacifistswho try to bridge the differences between Hindu and Muslim Indians and try to demonstrate the common links and bonds between them... while the Indian Muslim looks to his Arab 'brothers' for a faternity bond while looking down on Indian Hindus..

After all, doesn't the Quran teach that Muslims should not take for friends from among non-believers?

The problem is with the Islamic mentality based on Koran and Muhammad's life. There are many educated Muslims who have become integrated with Hindu culture, because they no longer believe in the Koran.
Similarly, among the lower classes, there are pockets where they do not know the Koran or Hadiths. As a result Islam sits lightly upon them, and except in their names they are hindus. Even in Ayodhya itself, there are temples managed by Muslims, Imamabads managed by hindus; many temples were built and maintained on grants donated specifically for that purpose by Muslim noblemen. Such things are present all over India. In calcutta, there are Muslims schools (not madrasas natually) where Saraswati is worshipped and community Pujas managed by Muslims.
The solution is to deislamize the Muslims. Give proper education to their children and not the Koran. It is only because our stupid votehungry political parties did not forcefully reform them that they are now causing such problems.

I humbly beg to disagree!
Its a gross underestimation.. Such a wide sweeping misunderstanding of Indian Muslims wherever and what ever caste/class has all along been the reason for the slow tumourous growth of Islam.

Sufi Islam, which derives much for its metaphysical philosophy from Hinduism has long been patronised because it seemed 'harmless' and 'closer to Hindu thought'..
But in fact, Islam by its nature and teaching of 'Exclusiveness of Salvation' helps very much in sucessfully isolating Muslims and giving them a sense of superiority.

When it comes to religion, Muslims firmly tend to stand by their faith then by their origin or nationality.

Can anybody refute that?

The Ummah does not recognise either geographic nor political borders

There might be liberal Muslims who might intermingle with Hindus freely or even celebrate/participate in Hindu festivals, but it remains a fact that recently Muslims in even Chennai (Madras) have moved the High Court sucessfully to ban Hindu festive processions through Muslim areas and use of loudspeakers airing religious songs during Hindu Holidays on grounds that it incites communal feelings!!

When Hindus are forced to secede their religious rights in India, what to speak of other countries?
