Catholics believe Mary floated up to heaven and is hanging out with Jesus,god and the rest of mythology gang. Why do we need Mary to pray for us and who is Mary praying to? It seems foolish to think that Mary would be sitting right next to god and praying to him for my sins.

God: "Mary,why are you kneeling on that cloud?"

Mary: "Please be quiet and don`t bother me right now,I`m praying to you on behalf of a sinner."

God: Mary,what part of this don`t you understand? I`m God and I know and hear everything. I`m well aware of the prayers of the hideous sinners and I don`t need a middle man.Why do I have to keep telling you this?"

Jesus: "Why don`t you both just shut up and stop all the fighting."

God: "Don`t you dare talk to me and your mother like that.Go to your room Jesus and don`t come out until I say you can."

Catholics also pray to the stepfather of Jesus. In their minds they are closer to Jesus and so are able to mollify him.

[edited for the spelling of the word catholic-doesn't it remind you of the word "skatolic" which might be an adjective to "skatol"-a malodorous component of excrements. :] ]
