Sophie, I have a theory. You know that you are defeated, but you don't like it when someone smarter than you shows you that you're wrong. How's that for intuition?

Dear Lord!
Sophie has starred in her own major motion picture, entitled "Expectational". Taken and modified from http://www.jesusfilm.org/languages/ "Expectational" is a remarkable film, full of assertions. The attention to illogical accuracy catapults you back into the life and time of OmniGod. You walk the same non-sensical streets, you experience the same redundant assertions, and you are touched by the power of OmniGod as you relive the most important assertions over and over again. Join the millions who have gone insane, haven't a clue, and whose lives have been changed forever. Filmed entirely on location in Israel, "Expectational" lets you feel a part of insanity at its best. "Expectation" is more than a philosophy. Virtually every word spoken by Sophie comes from the text of the Gospel of Reason. This two-hour film epic will personally challenge you, $10000 to whoever can decipher her words and still maintain their sanity. |

Ladies, Gentlemen and Others, I have a special announcement to make. I am not defeated. I stand above the rising icy waters to debate another day.
I cannot understand why The Readership will not allow me to make a hypothetical analysis of omniGOD and omniGOD's acclaimed all powerful status. This seems so bizarre to an intellectual like me. LESSON 1. Once the hypothetical analysis is complete then the task of examining and fitting the hypothetical to reality can begin. This is scientific reasoning. Firstly try to find all the possibilities which can occur. Secondly eliminate all possibilities which do not fit the data, or remove all possibilities which are not modal and can cause category errors. Thirdly, present reasons why the remaining hypothetical analysis seems to fit the nature of the reality of the data. Fourthly, present the finalised case to learned people for critical examination. Fifthly, if there is failure at any of the above steps and the individual still feels there is a case to be made, redo the step and proceed stepwise, otherwise abandon the presentation. END OF LESSON 1. This post and my position is at step 1. Notice what I am claiming concerning all powerful. In the analysis through reason of all powerful these are the 5 choices :
Notice also I have never made any claims like the Kruzkal interpretation : Quote:
I will address Doctor X's modal mistake very very soon. |

THE STRANGEST CREATURE ON EARTH by Nazim Hikmet
You're like a scorpion, my brother, you live in cowardly darkness like a scorpion. You're like a sparrow, my brother, always in a sparrow's flutter. You're like a clam, my brother, closed like a clam, content, And you're frightening, my brother, like the mouth of an extinct volcano. Not one, not five- unfortunately, you number millions. You're like a sheep, my brother: when the cloaked drover raises his stick, you quickly join the flock and run, almost proudly, to the slaughterhouse. I mean you're strangest creature on earth- even stranger than the fish that couldn't see the ocean for the water. And the oppression in this world is thanks to you. And if we're hungry, tired, covered with blood, and still being crushed like grapes for our wine, the fault is yours- I can hardly bring myself to say it, but most of the fault, my dear brother, is yours. |

PLEASE SUMMIT A LIST OF YOUR ASSUMPTIONS AND ASSERTIONS!
Are you trying to claim god created the universe 15 billion years? Whatever you are trying to claim, make it FCUKING clear please. Like this: My claim - [Insert claim here (e.g. god created the universe 15 billion years ago)] Then your definitions: god - omnipotent and omniscient, exist outside the universe and what have you . . . The claim assumes the following assertions to be true: 1 - god exists. 2 - god is blah blah blah . . . The assertions in my claim: 1 - etc. Explaination with evidence to support assertions: 1- Because yadiyadiya . . . NOW WRITE OUT YOUR ARGUMENTS AGAIN! PS: Your 5 choices goes in the assumptions section. __________________ Never underestimate the power of human stupidity |

Ok. That's one vote for this month's Pompous Twit Award. I'm finding it difficult to get to the meat of this discussion through all the self-importance. |

Well, I still wanta know what an "atheist wood thumper" is. I can guess, I suppose, but my first thought was that "thumping the wood" must be something akin to "choking the chicken" or "spanking the monkey". Not sure what that had to do with my atheism, though.
