Something different - dragon vertebrę
And now for something completely different.
{Note to moderators: In view of the interests of some of the posters on this sub-fourm, and the theoretical interest of the matter itself, I believe this topic fits well into this sub-forum. In any case, it would otherwise be a MD topic, not being Media. } I am going to panel a corner with massive wood panelling; and I plan to insert the fossil skeleton of a dragon. The panelling will suggest earth layers, while the skeleton will be modelled from unglazed and glazed porcelain and/or clay. Each bone will be as accurately done as possible; I already have a full rough draft of the skeleton as a whole, which will be approximately 2 meters by 75 cm in size. The fossil bones of the skeleton will be presented mostly side-on; individual veterbrae could easily reach 10 cm x 10 cm in size. The entire fossil skeleton is meant to look as anatomically correct as possible (given an assumed existence of dragons ). My question here is: Anyone here with a passion for designing individual vertebrae ? If you help me out, you get your name also done in clay/glaze, along with mine, in an unobtrusive corner of the artwork; you don't get cash, because I myself get none. BTW, I'll also be doing a small fossil nautilus, but they're easy. |

Ok I have no artistic skills whatsoever to help you out, but I do have a question. How did you get the a and the e to stick together in your subject title?
When you get this dragon built, you will have to take pictures... scigirl |

A small present for Scigirl
Just "quote in reply" this post and you'll have this special character (I made the size a bit larger, so you'll probably want to delete the "size" and "color" if you ever use it; BTW, it's only one of the special characters available on the Character Table, which you should find under your progs in Windows):

The reason why a fossilized dragon skeleton is because I thought there was too much risk of simply being schmalzy and tacky doing a live dragon; and I like fossils. |
