Post Invaded by Southern Baptists!

Help, We’ve been invaded by Southern Baptists!

My city has been invaded by Southern Baptists.
Here is a link to some rather ignorant remarks made by their leader. Especially about the Muslim faith. You can also see exactly how christian they are acting towards missionaries that do not sign their “articles of faith” based on the fact that women are told to be submissive.
here

Here is a link to the story of protestors being arrested.

I actually think it's a good thing that Southern Baptists have conventions like this.

Concentrated ignorance and bigotry are easier to detect (and ridicule).

Other comments I've read from the SBC this week:

George W. Bush was applauded as the first Baptist president of the US in many a year. Sure, they recognize that he's technically a Methodist. But why do they ignore Clinton and Carter, who are, in fact, Southern Baptists? (Well, I understand Clinton....)

Yeah, as far as they are concerned, Clinton was (borrowing from GOP lingo) a BINO(Baptist In Name Only). As for Carter, since most of them probably can't count to 20 without taking off their shoes, and Carter's been out of office for 22 years - well you get the picture…..

Plus, Carter didn't win much favor with the True Baptists when he was (gasp) interviewed in Playboy. That made those Baptist men actually have to read the magazine.
