Legendary and Braces
Thank you, you said it perfectly. Amie Does that do it for you? Liked your avatar. Woo woo, I love my wife but oh you kid. From that you should be able to figure out how old I am, I'm 39. The Admiral |

I don't see how any of those things listed trivializes or minimizes belief in any way... Quote:
Hi Legendary well thanks for the feedback but I really don't see how a doll "trivializes" beliefs in any way. Its a doll. Awhile back my niece became really interested in angels and so I bought her an angel doll that she really wanted. She slept with that for a while and that doll does not seem to minimize her belief in any way... Hi Mollymac I think his feet are on backwards too but I like the fact that Jesus is machine washable and hypoallergenic Although I wish they dressed him differently...aw well |

Here's another jesus toy.Actually,a whole series of toys. They forgot to include enemies for the figures to slaughter, except for Goliath(the realistic one of the bunch) ,keeping the kiddies from reenacting many fine bible stories. http://www.trainupachild.com/cgi-bin...R_ID=298760803 Job has an appropriately beaten look to him,but Eve's leaf doesn't look like it's removable, affording no authentic garden of eden scenes.Kids can play god,and kick them out again and again, though. There's no Lot,as well,so kids will have to pretend with two Eves and a jesus. I sense many of these figures will meet an untimely death at the hands of kids with fireworks. |

Hey Azathoth, did you look at the FAQ on the Plush Cthulhu story? There appears to have been a comic strip based on Plush Cthulhu and his "buddy", Clovis the Devil Bunny. Look like it's been discontinued. It's uneven, but sometimes even an idea can be funny.

Why do I get the feeling that an awful lot of kids will be tempted to stick pins in Huggy Jesus' wrists and ankles?

It trivializes it by trying to make it something that it is not. This Jesus guy is suppossed to be one serious mother-fucker. Creator of the universe and savior of us wretched humans. It's not suppossed to be the kind of thing to be taked lightly. When someone makes some cutesy Jesus teddy bear, it kind of takes the seriousness out of it. Just like when people try to get to teenagers by trying to make Jesus hip and cool. The dude is not suppossed to be cute and snuggly or hip and cool. Hell, when he comes back he's gonna have a sword hanging out of his mouth, and he is going to seriously kick some ass.
By the way, what's wrong with sock monkeys? |

Yeah, as a kid my sock monkey provided a lot more comfort than religion ever did.
