On the other hand ...
If YECs and biblical literalists reject evolution, do they not also have to reject the entire realm of scientific thought? Those aspects of science such as biology, geology and astronomy are totally inconsistent with a biblical literalist’s worldview but are consistent with all aspects of evolution.
Presently, astronomers are, from new methods of observation, solidifying the existing theories of planet formation. They are basically proving, to some extent, that we may not be alone in this universe. I also realize that there are those who actually believe that the landing on the moon was a hoax, and that it was perpetrated by the US government for reasons that I do not understand. How do these individuals live within a society that on the one hand, derive all their creature comforts, medical and health benefits, along with a developing understanding of the universe from science and then present us, on the other hand, with demons, witches and warlocks, miracles and a great being in the sky that watches over us but never is heard from. It strikes me as blatantly contradictory to be watching a particular show on the Discovery Channel, or some other similar station, debunking the supernatural, and then when changing the channel, you end up with something like “Touched By An Angel”. <img src="confused.gif" border="0"> |

The Lord wanted them to have cell phones, so he revealed the tech to someone. It's that easy.
Most people are completely baffled by science and all things scientific. That's why the smart folks get made fun of. They make people feel stupid because they don't understand. It takes work to learn this stuff. Technology seems like magic. It must be. No one ever said they were rational. |
