Yup. The Catholics will be gathered together ready to fight the Antichrist... and then all of a sudden, they'll fall to their knees... and be commanded to suck the Pope's little jesus like they did when they were boys.
Antichrist rolls on by priests getting pedophile fellatio, takes control, wins. |

I am glad you didn't say survived 2 thousand years, because their revolt against rome in 66AD and a later one in 135AD was so thoroughly defeated that I believe it is very safe to say that there remains no more semitic blood among the jews--none could have been racial kin to Jesus--thank God. On top of that--note you are decrying the existant of a prophet, philosopher or whatever else you want to call Jesus who at least had some moral values, but the same cannot be said of King David who the presentday european--all whitey jews hold up as their code of honor. I think David was a little more--a tad bit more--despicable than Jesus was--don't you? But yet you abhor one who is reasonably rightous and honor one who never lived a rightous day in his entire nefarious, depraved life. |

The ancient Aztecs/Mayans/Incans(?) sacrificed their beloved virgin daughters to appease an angry god. I'm appalled by THAT barbaric practice and wonder how the Christian story of redemption differs so much...

what? dude, go study hebrew. He DID say "father father", and it doesn't refer to "father nation" either. He did ask that if it were possible for his father to take away the burdon of the cross. On a side note: If jeue is god, and mary is jesus' mother, and god is his father, doesn't that make him a mofo?

First of all, the foreign words inserted in that verse are Aramaic words. Jesus spoke Aramaic. (Aramaic is called Hebrew in the King James Version. It might more accurately have been called Syro-Chaldee.) These Aramaic words are left in this particular Scripture because the translators really did not know what to do with them. The word Eli means "my God," but there is no Aramaic word like the word lama. There is a word lmna. Lmna is always a cry of victory, a declaration of "for this purpose," or "for this reason." The root of sabachthani is shbk. Shbk means "to reserve," "to leave," "to spare" or "to keep." So the verse/phrase is more properly translated: "My God, my God, for this purpose was I reserved, for this purpose was I spared." Of course the experts might disagree with me, but what do I care. |

The link I found that said "Nation of Israel" I didn't save. Anyway, thanks for the clarification--if I can call it that.
