spin: A cannibal eats its own species, so a cannibal alien wouldn't attempt to eat a human. Get it?

spin: "The sarcasm is appreciated (a little), but the thought has as much depth as a Britney Spears song."
mac t. younger: "Just playing to the audience. That would be you." Right. spin: "So, you don't mind condoning the slaughter of animals for the sake of your appetite -- there is no need for you to eat meat -- the arbitrary killing of a sentient being for no other reason than your dietary habit." mac t. younger: "I don't define cows as sentient. Your definition may differ. You are not an authority." If the Oxford English Dictionary defines sentient: "n. A person or thing capable of perception by the senses; the sentient, that which has sensation or feeling." I don't have to be an authority, but you have to justify your non-standard use of the term "sentient". spin: "Great, when the first wave of highly intelligent cannibal aliens land to eat you, you won't mind them arguing as you do above, will you?" mac t. younger: "What was that you were saying about sarcastic, intellectually shallow arguments? You're not even wetting my toenails with this one. " You have some difficulty separating sarcasm from shallowness. You did not attempt to analyse the analogy I provided, which is reflected in your subsequent comment. I see a lack the irony to appreciate your own logical self-betrayal. |

Ah, the potato, equivilent to cutting out someones digestive tract and eating it.
If cows are getting equal rights then I say tofu as well. Let's see how the vegatarians like it when their primary food source says stop eating their children. Off the fun part, and to the serious. I have to ask. I have respect for everything I eat both plant and animal, do you punkersluta? I relise that it's life has ended so that I may go on. It is the fate of the heterotroph (must consume other living beings to survive). Perhaps it is just that I look at things at the cellular and chemical level, and can see how similar I am to the oak tree in the yard. |

Spin.. in order to make your messages a little more readable, try using the following UBB formating devices.
When you want to quote something, Quote:
When you are finished with the quote use (/quote) -again with square brackets- at the end of it. Thanks [ March 12, 2002: Message edited by: Jon Up North ]</p> |

Jon: 'Bring on the cannibal aliens!!!! They won't be eating me because they're cannibals and since they're aliens they're not human."'
spin: "Sorry, but I can't unpack anything meaningful from these sentences" Jon: "Let me help. can·ni·bal Pronunciation Key (kn-bl) n. An animal that feeds on others of its own kind" You do have a point there. Naturally to us a cannibal is someone who eats humans, but you know what I meant so stop crapping on! Jon: "Okay, I'll grant you that your aliens may be human. If that is the case, I might be worried if they are cannibals. However, I think (since they are from outerspace) that they are not human. I'm therefore unconcern by whether or not they eat their own kind." More sophistry. A typical meat eater's avoidance of looking at their own lack of morality. spin: "This is called pitching down to the audience." Jon: "Must be a superiority thing." Is that a problem for you? |

If tofu gets equal rights then I guess PJPSYCOs should as well. Sentient beings. |
