Post love vs. faith

I Corinthians 13:13 (KJV): "And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity."

According to this verse, it is more important to have love than to have faith. Shouldn't the most important factor be the deciding factor of one's status in the afterlife (i.e., heaven or hell)? IMHO, the logical extension is that god will not judge you based on your faith (what you believed), but instead based on your love (how you lived), since love is greater than faith.

Any thoughts?
