Post National motto in public schools (again)

"Warner signs bill requiring 'In God We Trust' signs in schools"
<a href="http://www.pilotonline.com/breaking/br0517god.html" target="_blank">http://www.pilotonline.com/breaking/br0517god.html</a>

Quote from the article:
"I have no objection to posting the national motto in public schools," Warner said in a written statement.

Hell, neither do I! My objection is having IGWT as our national motto to begin with!

*sigh*

Damn straight. The return of E Pluribus Unum is long overdue.

Someone should put a sign next to that saying "God isn't real" or something along the lines of "In Zues we trust", then sue for 1st amendment if anyone takes it away. If the state doesnt fund it, then its ok? Well, the state didnt fund the zues sign, so it should be ok too? Obviously them taking such a sign away would show preference to a certain religion and make it a horribly blatant violation of rights.

Well, "In God We Trust" is about as constitutional for a national motto as "We Are White."

There are "TWO" congressionally approved mottoes(mottos).

<a href="http://www.religioustolerance.org/nat_mott.htm" target="_blank">http://www.religioustolerance.org/nat_mott.htm</a>

The first motto lasted 174 years until the religious right worried that atheistic communism might actually challenge Christian dogma for the minds of humans. However, that first motto remains the national motto...only the Supreme Court is too timid to deal with the issue and will continue to be as long as supernatural believers are the majority of our citizens.
