Default Do You Floss?

Just wondering, for no particular reason that I can summon.

I've been flossing for several months now. In the past it's been: floss for a month or two after talk from dental hygenist, then stop altogether. But I'm 40 now and think if I don't keep flossing I'll get a severe case of gingivitis (or whatever gum disease you can get) and lose me teeth.

I do, mainly because I really had to after I got my braces off years ago: they left a space between my back teeth that food would really get trapped in. Granted, that is essentially gone now, but I still floss.

After an excruciating dental visit a while back, I started flossing religiously (so to speak). See, I had some bad dental hygiene in college, including three years during which I forgot to go to the dentist at all. :banghead:

Ah, the stupidity of youth. (Okay, so this was only a year ago, but the point stands...)

Voted "No" because of the "daily" caveat. I floss 3-4 times per week since my last dentist visit, which is up from 3-4 times per year previously.

I have heart valve problems, so keeping my teeth clean is very important!

It's been eight and a half years for me, but for most of it I didn't have dental insurance. Should make an appointment now that I have it back.

I put "no" because I don't floss nearly as much as I should. Usually, if I'm flossing, it's because there is not a toothpick handy or the toothpick didn't work.

I know I should floss. I just hate too. Putting string between my teeth is akin to fingernails on a blackboard as far as I'm concerned.

I do use mouthwash regularly nowdays.

I can't floss because my teeth overlap and there are no gaps between them. (I'm from the UK, teeth here are very low priority)

Basically if I try it just goes snap.

I actually floss every day. I'm slightly obsessive compulsive about it.
