countermissionary propaganda
With over 75% of the world brainwashed by cults, and this current Jihad/Crusade/Zionist movement, and worldwide increase in fundamentalism-- and the last of the indigenous cultures that have not been touched by this abrahamic madness being attacked by missionaries, I cannot help feeling that church and state separation is not enough to bring reason to the world.
I in no way advocate violence or tyranny as a means of fighting religion, and fully believe that everyone has the right to think and say whatever they want.. but I have a deep-rooted desire to fight against these violent insane religions. There is so much religious propaganda out there, would it be feasable or or fruitful to distribute counter-religious propaganda?Whenever I see a religious flyer on a bulletin board I want to put up a flyer denouncing these cults. I do not see a mass deconversion of the already brainwashed, but I believe the majority of the youth in our culture have serious doubts about the validity of religion-- which could accentuated by pointing out the barbarism of the holy books. People are so ignorant of what they supposedly believe in. Maybe flyers with particularly insane bible/koran quotes and information about freethought archives/organizations would help. Knowledge seems like the only tool that might work... does anyone else share similar ideas? |

I really don't see the jewish folks as a threat. Zionism Schmionism. They like separation for the most part, and are evangelical so rarely that I would almost call it never. I interviewed Christians, Muslims, Jews, and Atheists for my recent documentary, and the Jews were the greatest people (among the religious) that I talked to.

You might take a look at some of the quotes used by Landover Baptist (the parody site). Some are particularly nasty
