Gaia Theory
Several week ago, a friend of mine started a Fanfics in another forum named Gaia and gave me a link. Eventually, he said it was based on a theory by a guy named James Lovelock in 1960s about Earth (and other planets) as living organism as it own (with it's own ways to produce life and maintaining it).
Anyway, I didn't get an insight of it till two weeks ago where he (my friend) came over with bunch of Internet address and explained what Gaia Theory was. http://www.lancs.ac.uk/users/philosophy/mave/guide/gaiath~1.htm http://www.gaianet.fsbusiness.co.uk/gaiatheory.html http://www.nemeton.com/prescience/PrFolder/Lovelock.html Now, 25 years after the Theory was mentioned, we came a long way in term of understanding our world, I thought maybe this is a good topic for once that everyone could sit down and talk. |
