This is the first time I debunk a religious post. Wait, now that I think about it, the second time. Anyways, I want input on how I did unassisted from other freethinkers.

A small quote of what I wrote :
Some people try to justify the former part of the clause by proving the latter. "Mom raped me in Kazakhstan" is our example. Kazakhstan exists. Therefore Mom raped me. It's this type of logic that is so absurd when presented as such but when associated to the divine, it magically works. "Jesus' tomb was in a cave in the Middle East". There are caves in the Middle East, therefore Jesus not only was real, but died there. See the flaw ? We can clearly explain the god-complex and how it works within society, but it does not mean it is real. "The boogeyman is in my closet." I have a closet, the boogeyman exists. "Jesus died on the cross." The Roman Empire killed thousands, if not millions through crucifixion. We can prove crucifixion existed then, so Jesus must have died that way.

If you do not feel like reading the thread, please tell me how this was. The prelude was a comparison to the root of -1. Exists, but not real.

And if you do feel like reading the thread, you can either do so from the beginning to see what sub-22 year olds think, and spike the poll I put with more IPU answers :P (if you can w/o registering,.... I dunno if you can) . Or just read it from where I set it, the interesting part (but if it floods up, the pages will be offsetted since it's 15 per page and i started it in the middle of page 2 with some of page 3.) I expect the thread to fill up though.

Any input appreciated as long as it's constructive.

My answer: Mt. Olympus exists. The Greek Gods lived on Mt. Olympus. Therefore those deities exist.

A city named Mecca exists in Saudi Arabia. The Prophet Mohammed had reportedly lived there and received the Koran from Allah. Therefore, not only had Mohammed existed, but the Koran is the Word of Allah.
