What Jesus tomb? The Talpiot tomb? No. Did it even have crosses in there?
Yes, Talpioth. I seem to recall there were crosses inscribed on some of the ossuaries, but may be getting that mixed up.

....regardless, if not that, then what are you referring to?

I believe the article I'm thinking of is E. L. Sukenik's "The Earliest Records of Christianity," The Journal of the Archaeological Institute of America 51 (1947): 351-365. If I'm mistaken, I'll post more later.

Digging around hoping to find a free copy of the article online (or at least a good abstract of it), I ran across this
within Crossan's "Excavating Jesus".

In it, Crossan claims that upon further review of Sukenik's claims, they don't stand up. The crosses appear to be mason's markings, not religious symbols, and it isn't even clear the graves are those of Christians.

The article you referenced is available from jstor for $14, but may be accessed for free from any number of college libraries. ...I'm more inclined to buy Crossan's book though.
