A candle lights up the room. The sun lights up the room. A funny person lightens up the mood. Are all three the same? Of course not. But that doesn't stop you from using fundy logic in order to make them the same.

He is not the sun. He is the son.

The "rising of the son" is different from the "rising of the sun" but the metaphor is there.

Not that it really matters what the heck Jesus is, but you get the point.
