Lord, lord, lord.

JLY, could I ask a favor of you? Go and read some more and then come back. At this point you just don't know enough about the questions to argue them intelligently. Find out who C.S. Lewis was, for instance. There are bound to be people in your church who know.

And it was not a coffin, but an ossuary. And it appears to be a fake, or, rather, the "brother of Jesus" bit seems to have been added later. http://www.bibleinterp.com/articles/Official_Report.htm And it happened a couple of years ago. And, even if it is authentic it is not necessarily clear that it pertained to the Jesus you worship.

I mean this sincerely, and without rancor: You are not well-educated on these issues, and it would be best for everyone if you made an effort to educate yourself.

Sorry, I didn't realize I missed one of your questions. I have been trying to answer all I see.

Yep, both they are the same person, just different ways to describe Him.
He has many names.

Guess you didn't get the update on the forgery, but only got the headline... It's a fake.

Though, I wouldn't claim Jesus didn't exist.

Ah, so then you are a Pagan. Seeing as how El Shaddai was actually the high God of the Canaanites. Welcome to the throngs of Heathens JLY.

Want some other fun information about your Pagan god? His image often displayed was a golden calf. Hey, wasn't that what the Jews were worshipping at the base of the mount where Moses went to speak with Yahweh, and Yahweh got pissed at them for worshipping another god? So if they really WERE the same gods... why was Yahweh getting mad at them if they were only worshipping him in the way they understood and had known to do in the past?

You to could do some more reading. i guess it matters which site you want to look at, and what you want the answer to be.

So glad you are sincere adn without rancor, because that would be a switch to some here.

You all can be rude or what ever you want to, but I will not be rude and not try and answer every question ask me. Hint, if you want me to leave stop asking me questions. As I said before I was not here long, and was hoping to be out last night, but again I will not be rude and not try and answer the questions put to me.

It's not necessarily that I want you to leave. It's that I would like you to either participate intelligently and in good faith or leave.

For instance, we were discussing a proposed proof of Christ's divinity by C.S. Lewis. You jumped into the discussion, without apparently ever having heard of C.S. Lewis, and hijacked the thread to something else entirely. Hijacking a thread is bad manners. Jumping into a discussion without apparently even understanding what the discussion is about, as you did here, is worse manners. Not knowing who C.S. Lewis is when you are a Christian arguing for Christianity is stupifying ignorance.

If you are in fact here with some serious purpose in mind, such as to bring us all to Christ, please ask yourself whether or not you advance that purpose by being a rude, loud-mouthed ignoramus. And, again, I mean this without rancor. These are not epithets but descriptions of your behavior.

El-Shaddai means God-Almighty. El-ohim generally means the same. There is absolutely no correlation between El-shaddai, El-ohim, and Yahweh with the Pagan Gods. You guys need to stop getting your information from the Infidel website

Actually, El Shaddai means El of the Hill, or El of the Mount. And I didn't get that from an atheist website. I got that information from a woman who was a nun for much of her life, and then became an atheist. Her name is Karen Armstrong... maybe you want to join JLY in reading her book "The History of God" it might prove helpful to you.
