*sign* alright then sugar let’s take the prophesy from the top.

Daniel 2:39
After you, another kingdom will rise, inferior to yours.

The Medo-Persian Empire was most certainly not inferior to the Babylonian Empire.

Daniel 2:39 (cont)
Next, a third Kingdom, one of bronze, will rule over the whole earth.

The Grecian Empire did not rule over even a third of the entire earth.

Daniel 2:40
Finally, there will be a fourth kingdom…it will crush and break all the others.

The Roman Empire was in an entirely different time period. It only defeated the Grecian Empire. (It also doesn’t make sense for God’s kingdom to then destroy these others as they are now all long gone.)

I don't expect a reply to these points. I just wish to illutrate that in general, biblical prophecies are far from dead specific. A lot of selective interpretation and questionable translation is involved.

May I recommend an excellent discussion on Daniel that started a few months ago.

A short primer on the dating of Daniel

Why should it be limited to just Babylon?

Indeed - since "Darius the Mede" never existed in the first place, that means he can rule over all kinds of fantasylands and kingdoms.

Default Darius the Mede and Gaburu

The Babylonian Chronicles gives us the exact date of the fall of Babylon October 13 539 B.C. According to historical records a Median man named Gaburu was appointed ruler of Babylon by Cyrus. Gaburu was born in 601 B.C. which would make him 62 years old at the time of this appointment...the same age as Darius the Mede recorded in Daniel 5:31. Gaburu according to the Cronicles also appointed many leaders to govern Babylon.

Here is what Daniel says of Darius:

....Darius son of Ahasuerus of the seed of the Medes WHICH WAS MADE (APPOINTED??) KING (RULER) OVER THE REALM OF THE CHALDEANS." CH.9
(Cyrus appointed Gaburu as ruler over Babylon)

"It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom an hundred and twenty princes, which should be over the whole kingdom." (over the realm of the chaldeans) ch.6 (Gaburu did this same thing).

"Darius the Mede along with his relative Cyrus the king of Persia (Cyrus was both Mede and Persian) brought an end to the Babylonian empire. Darius was the son of Astyages." (Astyages king of Media Cyrus grandfather)----Josephus.

Darius and Gaburu---same age, same actions....very likely the same person.

This is the best the creator of the universe can do to prove his existence?

1. This is just another example of sugarhitman lifting material from a website, pretending that it is his own research, but not giving a citation for the original source. Here it is:
http://www.biblehistory.net/Belshazzar_Darius_Mede.pdf

2. In point of fact, we do not know when Gubaru was born.

3. Lastly, you have yet to provide any reason why "Gubaru" and "Darius" would be the same person, given that they aren't even the same name. Were the author(s) of Daniel deaf at the time? Did they just make up names? I mean, it's not like the names are close-sounding, like "Ryan" and "Ron". These two names are far apart in sound and spelling.

Another example of a "clear prophecy" - a name (Darius) that is supposed to be obviously the same as another name (Gubaru) that doesn't sound anything like it.
:rolling: :rolling: :rolling: :rolling:

Who cares? We already know that the author(s) of Daniel got many things wrong.

1. Except that there is no Darius the Mede.
2. The actions of Gubaru and the fictitious Darius aren't the same anyhow.

ROFLMAO

Check out the Hindu prophecies - Hey, it's far better than the bible!

As prophecy is said to be the ''greatest proof of gods existence'' - and as Hindu prophecy is greater than that of the God of Abraham, Christians please do convert to Hinduism before it's too late.

Ha, ha! Find me a prophecy fortelling the rise and fall of specific kings and kingdoms....thousands of years in advance...outside of the Bible you will not find one.

"I am the Lord, and the Word that I speak shall come to pass, declaring from ANCIENT times things not yet done, before they spring forth I tell you of them. And besides Me there is no other god....I know not one"---God
