Default How important are New Testament claims of Jesus' post-Resurrection appearances?

If the correct answer to my topic question is "yes," how important are the issues of the NUMBER of people who saw Jesus after he rose from the dead, and WHO he appeared to after he rose from the dead? If the texts said that only Luke saw Jesus after he rose from the dead, would that make Christianity a good deal less credible? If the texts said that Jesus appeared to only one person, and that the person was an unnamed woman, would that make Christianity a good deal less credible?

At the Theology Web, I once asked James Holding if he could make a good case for Christianity without mentioning any eyewitnesses at all. He said that he could. I did not ask him to do so. I should have.
