It's not a bad translation, just limited.
Limited by language changes over time, and reference material available at the time of translation.

A particular translation is not the problem. The problem is all translations. No one know what the originals said, and how many times they might have been changed. The only evidence that you have to the contrary is faith. Most people will not be convinced that the Bible is true just because you are convinced that it is true. If the only evidence that you have if faith, why do you ever bother to say anything at all?

John... Do you realize what you were agreeing with? I highly doubt it.

What Greg was saying was that even the modern versions can't agree with how Judas died. That they can use it along with the KJV to discredit Christianity. Then again reading comprehension is your friend...
Yes like you I soemtimes oveerlook things.

If thats what that atheist said then WE DISAGREE

I am not familiar with Sharper iron.

But you need to get your facts straight about that incident.

WHAT I SAW was a photo of a man with a hairy back, and I saw a thread on "Hairy backs."

Johnny for the last time we are NOT debating Biblical Inerrancy here. we are debating over the King James Version.

Fundamentalists agree that the Bible is True.

The difference between me and my opponent is that He thinks the KJV should be the only version used in the english speaking world, and I disagree.

My oppoonent also comes very close to condemming the NIV.

1) The topic of the debate.

Resolved: "the KJV is the superior English Translation and should be the Bible Translation used by English speaking Christians everywhere."

That statement alone says that my opponent does not like the NASB, ESV, NIV,etc...

He would not allow them to be preached in ther church. I disagree....

Dagnabbit notpadawan, thanks to you, that christian seems to disagree with me now. Just when his agreement was making me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Curse you! :devil1:

Ah, okay. Have you read the KJV in CONTEXT?
