Default God Lord Jesus

Fundamentalists will swear Acts 7:59 is absolutely faithful scripture, including the word “God” in italics in the KJV.
If to prove that Jesus is God the translators had to ADD to the text, isn’t that enough proof that Jesus is NOT God?…
Acts 7:59 - "And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit."

There are a variety of translations here with some commentary on adding God in 7:59. The writers and translators of the Bible thought that Jesus was both the same as God and a separate entity.

There is a long and convoluted argument here about how to argue with Jehovah's Witnesses about praying to Jesus.

A large number of the posters here do not pray to Jesus or God, or think that the doctrine of the Trinity makes any sense, so I am not sure what the point of this is.
