I see already, my post has been selectively word dissected..
Let's back up to see the "points" I brought up...

In the spring, Mar/April or zodiac sign of Aries...was a time of fertilization.
"CONCEPTION" or immaculate conception of the sun man/gods..

Next was the "9 month period" between spring and winter or "GESTATION"
The period that the various Madonna's carried the solar man/gods.

In the winter solstice, or Dec/Jan of zodiac sign of Capricorn....was the time of new beginning, new year, new sun or "BIRTH"

I do research..Just looking for a place to "learn" and exchange information that I've discovered. In my post..I've simply expressed information, to get opinions and that's about it...

Which claims? Could you be specific...

We have the commonly known "facts" such as, in the Northern Hemisphere...around March/April and technically after March 21, the Spring Equinox..Spring Season begins and consists of.....budding, germination, fertilization, the breeding season or conception..
Haven't you ever heard the phrase...Spring has sprung???:huh:

And if you count forward NINE months after the Spring Equinox...which is just simple addition...that will bring you to December.
After the Winter Solstice, the longest night of the year, the "days" begin to get longer.. That's where much of the ancient solar deity god stories come from...

It was extremely important for the ancients to predict the seasons and weather conditions because their lives depended on crops and live stock for food..

Just let me know specifically which you are referring to such as, Solar Astronomical sources or ancient solar dieties sources,and or etc......and I'll get you some sources..

What are the names of these gods, please, and what are the primary sources that attest to the "fact" that their mothers were virgins (let alone mortal and unmarried) and that they [these SEVERAL gods] were born in December?

Hi Jeffery and Andrew,

The human gestation period is nine months, so for conception time, you simply count backwards nine months from the time of birth..
What's interesting is the Chinese birthday begins at conception.

I failed to mention that there were also goddesses born in December as well... To me, it just seems a good way for the ancients to predict, keep track of and pin point these important seasons...Solar tracking/sky watching..

I wonder what Solitary Man's thought would be on the spring "conception" of the gods...

Plus the simple FACT there are nine months between spring and winter..

Let's leave aside the matter that you haven't shown that's what true for humans was thought by the ancients to be true of gods, and note that you are dodging the questions that both Andrew and I both asked you.

What are the names of these "several gods" who were purportedly known to have been born around the Winter solstice. Can you name them or not?

And in what texts from the ancient world may we find a story of any of these as yet unnamed "several gods" being conceived at the Spring equinox?

Are they to be found in, e.g., Hesiod or Homer, or Pindar or Ps. Apollodorus or in the Tragedians?

Do you know or not?

Really? And what are the names of these Godesses and where specifically in ancient literature are the stories of their their births found?
