Default Why?

Why is there no mention of an Ice Age in the Bible, if most of the Creationists believe in it?

Why would we expect an ice age to be in a collection of myths and legends from Iron Age II goat-herders finalized in the latter half of the first millennium BCE?

For the same reason the Bible makes no mention of Niagara Falls or the Grand Canyon. It was not relevant to any point the Bible's authors were trying to make.

A good point. Also none of the ante-diluvians are recorded as going to the bathroom, yet most Creationists believe that they did!

It all goes to show that we should all just live by whatever values are going around in contemporary society (but not discuss this), rather than adopting some system which has shelf-life. Any such system will be open to similar objections. The best way of life is the one that you don't discuss.

Or perhaps I misunderstand hugely...

All the best,

Roger Pearse
