Interesting article on the origins of Yahweh...
I came across this interesting article about the origins of Yahweh.
The article is found HERE. His argument is that Yahweh is a conflation of several near eastern gods. These being Ea/Enki, Yam/Yaw, Bull El and Ba'al Hadad plus some minor influences from gods like Enlil. It is a very good article if you are inclined to read it. |
