Ah, astrology. Now that makes damn good sense. Esau, the rough, hairy sun (or son) gets eclipsed by the sneaky, smooth operator. But the sneaky one relies on the other guy just to get noticed, being a mere passive reflector. Now stephan will agree that people have been pushing the smooth operator as impostor for the real deal since 'Clement' and Justin. Though not entirely convincingly, so other imaginary 'stars' have had to be employed, in these here degenerate, democratic, rational days.

The Samaritans actually have an astrological interpretation of the other pair of brothers in the Bible whose story is closely related - Moses and Aaron. There might be something to it of a secondary nature.

Careful stephan, or you might come off sounding like a disciple of Acharya S.

I couldn't be anyone's disciple. I lack the discipline. Just stating the facts about what the Samaritans believe. There's a difference.

Yeesh, by reading it literally you destroy the beauty of the message, and miss the point entirely. The authors never intended thi sto be a literal piece. Even redactors didnt make it literal. |

I must have missed the part about the beauty of the message though - not to mention the point. |

After listening to all that boring 'begatting', someone wants to hear a good tale 'bout how that begatting got it on. |
