I cannot believe in the 21st century that Americans don't think Jews are a race? I had to do a double take when I was told that? I wanted to ask if they were Amish?

Apparently anti-Semitism is not racist either, nicely racist ideology you have there. Incroyable Je sais?

The idea that Jews are a separate physical race is pseudoscience.

I wouldn't say it is out of character. It is an early passage that very likely reflects who Jesus really was. That is, a typical Jew in many respects.
Well, by the 1st C many Jews were living among gentiles around the empire and among the Parthians, so a "typical Jew" of the time was more likely to be an assimilationist to some extent.

People like the Zealots probably represented a hardcore minority of racial and religious purists within Palestine. Educated diaspora Jews may have found them embarassing.

I didn't say that racism doesn't exist I said the opposite. I only asked you if it was your conclusion that racism doesn't exist.
