Though we've drifted somewhat from the OP, I think the consensus is that the following core beliefs of Christianity were never mentioned in the OT as being qualities of the Messiah
1. Resurrection from the dead. 2. Ascent into heaven. 3. Being the son of god. Given that absence, does anyone have an explanation for how the early Christians (or later ones, for that matter) accounted for the remarkable absence of these features in the OT Messiah prophecies? |
