Ahh, I can't believe I missed the spear piercing competition. I'd just gotten this Longinus Lance fresh from NERV too...

I lost anyway. The horse hair crest on my helmet came loose as I lunged and flopped down over my visor. I came close to nearly severing the other ear off the guy who plays Judas. Even 'Jesus' laughed at that one.

Gosh, you guys just aren't playing kosher. Spear piercing is definitely a Friday activity, as is the moment of death sweepstakes. It's time for spot the resurrection body. Or make up imaginative resurrection sitings. And get ready for fingering the wounds, all you prospective (John) Thomases out there.

Hey I just noticed [basic knowledge just kicked in!]
The OP never once said it was Jesus, Joyfilled.
There you go again, before the grace of your version of God!

OHhhhhhhh....pull your finger out Spin. You go play 'hide and seek' if you want. But I like the spear peircing contests better. I get to dress up as a Roman and run amuck with a pilum...
I don't play the Moment of Raise game cause it's rigged...happens the same time every frikkin year. The Imaginative Sightings is a hoot. But I can't play though because this year I'm one of the 500...*shrugs*

And as for the Wound Fingering...I can't as well. I'll be working at the Resurrection BBQ and deli tent making hot-cross buns, Resurrection Nails (little sweet nail-shaped pastries) and steaming leftover Morton Bay bugs they used at the Last Supper Feast.

[edited to add] And kosher is for pickles...

I was not counting fouls. Only the gospel fellow is attributed to being relevant to xianity, and only Luke concedes that one co-crucifixionee said something positive against the other synoptics' none. So them other two were irrelevant, call them collateral damage. From my commentary box, I'd stick to 1 nil. But you can call for the video umpire if you like.

Here we are at the Golgotha Stadium this Friday morning, ladies and gentlemen, and I have to report that the Galilean has come into the stadium leading the first stage of this die-athlon . . . and, oh dear, it's disaster here at the third hour, folks, as the big Galilean couldn't go the distance, he's given up the ghost just six hours after the start of the second phase, leaving the event wide open between these two hardened stayers who weren't shaken by the Galilean's early lead but have settled down like true professionals with a game strategy. Keep tuned to find out which of these two can hang on the longest.

But what about tradition? You can always play pierce the messiah again next year. If you were so keen this year, you should have started earlier. They were selling the lances a month and a half ago, so you have no excuse.

You win some, you lose some. Not everyone can be one of the 500, you know.

Hey, that's too bad. Perhaps you could get them to bring him over for a few minutes.

Well, "fouls", thieves is what the gospels want us to believe. I do not buy it. Crucified at the same place at the same time means most likely for the same crime. They were fouled by their "king". 3 to 0.
