Default Happy crucifixion

Get out the booze and candied nails . . .

Put on Queen's "Another one bites the dust" . . .

And celibrate another pagan deity doing his bit for the changing of the seasons.

If you got a bare cross put something on it to represent the death of a god.

Just to get you into the festive spirit,

A weirdo goes into a hotel at the Cross, throws down a handful of nails and says to the clerk, can you put me up for the night?

Somebody's gotta be able to do better.

Happy crucifixion!

Maybe this all needs to go to the humor board, but here goes:

We were thinking of a "nail a saviour to the cross" competition, you know, points for style, best superscription, and audience involvement, but it got called off through lack of saviours. If you know of any loose saviours out there, the looser the merrier, bring him/her along. If we can get enough starters, you could win a one-way trip into history. But remember, only unused saviours will be accepted.

Why do you enjoy mocking Jesus? Why does it make you happy to belittle someone who gave His life for you? What makes you enjoy it? This is not indifference.

What's wrong with toying with a person whom I believe never existed in the first place? This is no different in some Christians who bastardise scientists and atheistic writings for their own use, except that they misuse real live people.
You can just go ahead and rejoice at his alledged pain and suffering for you and be glad that you never have to go through such an ordeal....if it were all true, of course.

Tell that to the two dead children (and the one surviving 18 month old) who's mother beat to death with a stone in my state. They would understand.

Where is it written that atheists are indifferent, or even meant to be?

Go ahead and belittle critical thinking and reason for make-believe. But it may do you some good to read the threads in the BC-H forum.

Just as I thought. You re angry at God or you wouldn't have mentioned the 2 dead children. Laughing at God and Jesus will not help you deal with your anger at all. It will only mask it. Blaming God and Jesus for the rest of your life will also lead you to die hating God. That hate will last for eternity. You can hang on to your anger or release it. The former will lead to death, the latter to life. It's your choice. No one else can do it for you.

Most atheists have said; "How can i be angry at something i don't believe exists?" Their behavior and desire to mock Jesus and God, however, tells a different story. You have finally at least been honest about your anger. Many atheists still can't do that yet.

That doesn't show anger at god but anger that someone would kill their children in the name of him; religion inspired lunacy.

Bingham pounded his fist in his hand as he recounted Joshua's killing: "He got strike after strike after strike on his head to the point that his brains were coming out of his head like liquid."

Psychiatrists testified that Laney believed she was divinely chosen by God -- just as Mary was chosen to bear Christ -- to kill her children as a test of faith and then serve as a witness after the world ended.
Being angry at this isn't being angry at a god (unless a god really did tell her to do this).

Shush now ladies. You're spoiling the festive season. There still might be time to run out and buy your last minute god on a stick. Everyone should have one.

Latest score from the Golgotha sports field: Romans one, xians nil.

I'm going to go out on the main walk and read my new copy of Nietzsche's Antichrist with the nice red cover and the title printed in big easy to see letters. Hopefully I'll get some fun reactions from the churchgoers as they saunter past.

I'm planning on finding a good crucifixion pic and tacking it up over a dart board. Bonus points for hitting him between the eyes, triple bonus for pegging one of the nails.
