At the name of Jesus
every knee shall bow...
That sounds like a classic magical formulation - abracadbra! What might be special about the word Jesus? |

There is a short section in TJM about its particular NT spelling having a numerological significance, but I don't remember the details.

There is nothing special about the word Jesus except that he is the way to heaven in Catholicism where Mary is held as the Gate of Heaven and that combination makes heaven religion specific.

Has anyone asked if the driving force for xianity might be about the name of Jesus in contrast to a person?
How might Logos fit? |

It is just the loser's way of muttering "I'll get you one day" sort of like "even the stones will speak Arabic".

Logos pre-ordained it that way so there can be no other way. The name itself means nothing but the precedent set by the man called Jesus in history is what counts. Hence the "follow me."

Sounds terribly abstract.
