isaiah 54
I recently got into a debate with an evangelical Christian about the credibility of the bible. He cited the prophecy in Isaiah 54 (particularly verse 17) showed how biblical prophecy came true with the wars in Israel in the 1960's.
I am halfway sure the verse refers to the Babylonian exile, but I was wondering if anyone had any solid evidence to refute this claim. |

If he believes that the Tribulation will begin before the generation that sees Israel become a nation pass away--
Tell him that a generation is almost always defined as a period of twenty five years. Since Israel became a nation in 1948, the Tribulation should have began in 1973. |
