Default Jesus: the Cold Case

Who Killed Jesus? Just in time for Easter, award winning documentary maker Bryan Bruce takes on the ultimate cold case - Who Killed Jesus? And Why?

Quote:
For true crime investigator Bryan Bruce the death of Jesus of Nazareth is the ultimate cold case. .... His conclusion is that the Gospels’ account of the arrest, trial and execution of Jesus is so flawed that the traditional Easter story in which the Jews set Jesus up to be executed by the Romans simply does not make any sense. He argues that it is based on a lie told in the first century by Christian writers and copyists trying to spin-doctor their new religion to appeal to the Romans. In the process they laundered the character of Pilate and darkened the character of the Jews.

On TV in NZ

Quote:
This Sunday, 24 July 2011, at 8:30pm, Bryan Bruce will try to find out who killed Jesus, in a television documentary to be screened on New Zealand’s TV1. The documentary is one in an ongoing series in which Bruce examines old unsolved murders, and attempts to solve them … but with the twist that, here, the cadaver is 2000 years old. The documentary is based on his book Jesus: The Cold Case (Random House, 2010), which attempts to find out who arranged for the death of Jesus and why.

Was the tomb occupied? What 2000 year old cadaver? Isn't the story that the cadaver ascended through the clouds above Jerusalem? The gPeter has it that the cadaver's head reached above the heavens, and it was lead away by two giant figures who's heads reached to the heavens, while the cross ambled along after the Trinity of Heaven Heads, talking to god. What's the editor passing off as evidence? Where is the cadaver? Is this a Keystone Cops crime mystery? Sherlock's out to lunch.
