My friend, who's got one hell of a libido, felt like shit once he realized that he was completely incapable of satisfying his girlfriend, even five or six times a day. He felt worse once he found out how often she cheated on him. And for her side of things, I don't think she enjoyed it much. It's a compulsive addiction. Not a lot of fun involved. Edited to add: Her out of control addiction wasn't exactly good for her self esteem, and I recall that she got a bit suicidal over it. |

Without getting into too many details, the negatives already described are all accurate. I like to think of myself as having a healthy libido, good stamina and recovery, but she was insatiable. I'd add that there is a power and control element as well. This is not to say that I didn't have fun, for a time. Or that I didn't love her, I truly did. It just got way, way, out of control. When she started to realize that I was drifting away from her, she pretended she was pregnant to try to trap me. This led to the one and only panic attack I've ever had. She used to say that I was the only guy that had been able to satisfy and keep up with her. I used to say that satifying and keeping up with her was killing me and that should tell her something. Nymphomania sounds great in the Hustler Letters, but IRL it is a living hell. |

From my own sheltered little experience, Nymphomania means to engage in sexual acts without pleasure. what was your question again?
Take a nymphomaniac: Does she really exist or is she an invention of man ? Because if she really exists, my belief is that she is a gift of God to special men. If you want a link, forget it. |

![]() Nymphomania may sounsd great to a guy initially, but take it from King Rat and my friend....it's probably going to be a living nightmare. Sex addiction is not a good thing. I've read stories about men with sex addiction who were so out of control that they had sex with the coin return in a public soda vending machine...the loss of control can be that ridiculous. And also of others who were so addicted to it that they abandoned all safety measures and wound up with AIDS. |

It'll give you a day to a month that you'll bask in the rest of your life, and an undetermined period of hell that you'll cringe about for the rest of your life. If you know when to get out it could be good. But few get out unscathed.
There are probably a few whore-Madonnas out there that can keep it at home and enjoy it *a lot* AND can keep it in the relationship and aren't humping the mailman. But I think that's a tougher order to fill and something short of "mania" probably. The horny-crazy types generally come with a price of one sort or another. But who wants how much and how often and who inititates and on and on....can be complicated in any relationship. If they're crazy it's worse. |

Such women do have themselves under control, and they can live without for quite some time.
It only becomes a problem once they get started, then the hunger only becomes more. And they suffer as much as their sexual partners do. Also do not all pressurize their partner/counterpart, but realise when he's given all he has and leave him in peace then. I don't think a man could even spot such a woman in real life, since they don't behave or act in any sexual suggestive manner. Just like an alcoholic usually doesn't advertise his problem either. |
