Question Nymphomaniac :Real or Imagined ?

I would like to hear from first-hand experience. Is there such a thing as a nymphomanic ? Or is it something men invented ?

From my own sheltered little experience, Nymphomania means to engage in sexual acts without pleasure. The term is referred to as Satyriasis in men.

Other than that, what was your question again?

I waited all day for Angyson to reply to my post, and was ignored.

Were you not familiar with the terms? Or did you just quickly post a question that you thought you understood, but when faced with the knowledge that you did not understand....you chose, rather, to ignore your own thread?

Just wondering.

Real.
Modesty forbids further elaboration.

I always thought a Nymphomaniac was a woman with the sex drive of a man?

Yes it's real, and it's not the paradise that some guys dream of either, if you're with a woman who's a 'nympho'. A friend of mine dated a nymphomaniac, and he said it was like living hell. The first week was apparently fun. Then it got rapidly crappy. The relationship lasted about six months, IIRC, which was far longer than it should have.

Although as I think on it, she may have been a sex addict, i'm not sure if there's a difference between nymphomania and sex addiction.

At any rate, he said he shocked himself when he found himself thinking one day "I don't want to have sex anymore...I need a break from this...", which eventually led to her cheating on him. A lot.
