Jesus, the Sun of God MERGED with Christianity = Astrology? and Zeitgeist scholarly?
http://zeitgeistmovie.com/
The first part (about 40 minutes) will show you exactly what Jesus is. THE SUN! All fit together perfectly. Think about it: the sun goes on water (the reflection on the water surface) the sun turns water (+fruits) into wine. |

Just part one alone would bring a chorus from the resident apologists here of "where are the sources? where are the sources????" But it was still pretty good once you got past all the war footage.
But part two with the 9/11 stuff will get the whole thing dismissed without even as much as a consideration. Quite a shame really. |

Perhaps someone would explain to me how this logic works? -- Is the idea that, if I can show some kind of vague parallel between two things not otherwise known to be connected or identical, that proves connection, indeed identity?
Seems rather like muddy thinking to me. |

I think if it was anymore obvious it would slap you in the face. You don't need ancient manuscripts to figure it out. Of course it appears muddy to you Roger. I don't think anyone even expects you to even try to understand it. You believe Jesus is a real godman and believing the biblical tales about him will give you eternal life. That's really the crux of the matter and what keeps you playing this game. |

Seems like someone's overworked imagination more than anything else. I've seen MUCH better comparisons of Jesus Christ to pagan mythologies, like Lord Raglan's Mythic-Hero profile.

Yay! A pun that works in English, so it follows that it must work in Greek, Aramaic and Hebrew!
Oh, wait . . . |
