Poor Joseph, God was a hard act to follow

I guess if Yahweh could command the slaughtering of infants, telling some zealot to deface anothers property is small potatoes. |

This billboard has now been taken permanently after it was attacked with a knife.

This vandalism could make it harder to do a non-religious campaign as the advertisers could say that adverts will be attacked or ripped down by religious fanatics. |

It's good to see the Church is making a point; they don't take the Bible literally. Too often its the literalists that make headlines and are juxtaposed with non-believers of Christianity as the counter-argument, when in fact other Christians don't believe the rubbish that comes from literalists.

It must be that it was the Church who for hundreds of years now that have propagated that the Bible was literally true. I eagerly await the day when Christians proclaim that the Bible is literally false. |

Perhaps someone should tell them that when Jesus brough heaven to earth it was inevitable that hell came crashing down with it because you just cannot have a pair of opposites without the other. Further is it not possible to have a Christian church nor is it possible to have a Christian religion because Christian-ity is the end of religion as a means to the end. The upshot here is that the poster is really telling us that Herod is alive and well in Auckland New Zeeland where the suffering servant is venerated in the broad daylight of the sunny South. It reminds me of the following poem: If he had known that unstructured space is a deluge and stocked his life-house boat with all the animals, . . . even the wolves he might have floated. But obstinate he stated: the land is solid, and stamped . . . watching his foot sink down through stone up to the knee. |

Precious: especially Mary's head scarf.
It's obviously ostentatious flag waving if she wears it in bed but I am at my wits end to decide whether it says "ready but frigid" or "mess with this holy mother and your dick is history". :devil1: Jiri |
