Default Corinthians

Is it true the book of Corinthians is just a letter from St. Paul?

If this true, is it just me or is this completely arrogant.

Let me explain.......

For a start the letter was written to 'The Corinthians' which is a bit like writing a letter to 'The French'. Which begs the questions -

Where did he post it?
Who would have read it?

And if by some bizarre stoke of a luck a Corinthian just happended to read it, don't you think his reaction would have been rejection. I mean if I got a letter from some guy called Paul addressed to 'The English' telling me not to drink/worship idol gods/adultery etc. I'd be like " Who the hell do you think you are? No go away. You arrogant saint sending a letter to whole civilisation?

I know this is a bit tongue-in-cheek but it also makes a serious point, in that - How much of the bible is just letters/opinions? and how much is claimed to be the true word of god?

Also I beleive Jesus spoke Aramaic yet the bible appears to have been translated from greek to hebrew to english. How come there are no exisitng copies of an Aramaic bible?

It's just you.

In the first century, it is believed that the believers in a city formed one church. The letter to the Corinthians was supposedly written to the church in Corinth, not to the whole city.

It may be that this was not an actual letter, but a literary composition in the form of a letter.

The claim by believers is that Paul wrote this letter, while inspired by the Holy Spirit. Although you evidently need to be inspired by the same Spirit to figure out what it really means.

Of course, most of the nonbelievers and liberal Christians here think that the Bible is entirely of human origin, just some guys' opinions. You can read more about the shifting nature of the New Testament here.

Default Holy Spirit or Holy alcohol

So the letter was inspired by the holy spirit. But what happened if it was the wine that they were drinking and Paul went off in one.

I have been in a similar way where I was inspired by the holy spirit of Ja. He told me to roll another though not write a letter.

C u in the green clouds ....

Generation green.
