summer and winter,
day and night
will never cease.”

I was looking into the Flood Narrative and took notice of Genesis 8:22 for the first time and noticed how anti-apocalyptic it is. Now, anyone who has read the Bible knows how fickle God can be with his "promises". But 8:22 really stood out as being much more in line with the ending of the Old Testament than the New Testament.

Just what exactly does an apocalypse mean to you? I see nothing in that passage that would rule out an apocalypse.

What apocalypse do you think this promise is inconsistent with?
