Well, its not a great lesson...I think it teaches to not underestimate the stupidity of your fellow man and to fear God...I can't fathom how you could make the mistake they did but hey, its the first sin and casts humans into the "inferior", "please God help us we're nothing without you" people the bible seems to want us to be...nonbelievers can't learn a lesson from it besides that from the get-go the bible is hard to believe...of all the bible stories I was told growing up or have read myself the garden is the most loathsome

If you read Genesis 1, you will notice that each time God has created something, he takes a step back, looks at his creation, sees that ot's good, pads himself on the back, and continues.

God does, what looks good in the eyes of God. Humans as created in the image of God do, what looks good in their eyes.

But is doing, what looks good in your eyes always the right thing to do? Even to yourself?

Don't always believe that standard interpretations are the only possibilities. I personally like to think up non-standard Bible interpretations and see how far I can go with them.

I't really good fun - try it yourself some day
