Since Dave is rather busy at the moment, you could always take up my current debate challenge (or a variation on it) if you wish to defend the traditional Mosaic authorship of the Torah as being essential for inerrancy (since the Documentary Hypothesis pretty much precludes inerrancy).

Here's a question: The only part of the Bible that claims to be written or dictated by God is the Torah. In the Torah, there is not a single reference to the Devil.

So, John, why do you assume that there must be a Devil?

If Johnny Skeptic would do some research he would discover that OTHER ancient writings of the same time period do not have as much manuscript evidence to support them than the Bible does.

Also if Johnny would do some research on Biblical scholar John Lea and read this book called The Greatest Book in the World he would see far more support for the scriptures than that of Shakespeare's works.

Also if Johnny would read history he would see that MANY MANY attempts have been made to destroy the Bible, but God allowed his holy word to survive.

The devil and his servants have not given up on their attempts to destroy the word of God, and even after so many attempts to destroy it failed, today the devil is using his own Al-Qaeda whom have invaded the church to destroy the word of God. Many of these Al-Qaeda do not teach the Bible, and so the flock in these churches, cannot discern, since they do not read the word.

The devil will once again fail.

You know, you are very abusive of the devil. You write as if you were the prophet of the devil, or as one who merely repeats what the Bibles says about the devil (the sacred SATAN, or whoever).

Somehow, the devil never speaks for himself and has no prophets of his own. You and the Bible give him a bad name. I have not found the right word yet to characterise your perverted accounts of the devil.
