Default Did the Resurrection provide Christians with and tangible benefits?

Paul basically said that if Jesus did not rise from the dead, nothing else matters. He was wrong. He should have said if Jesus did not rise from the dead "and" one day returns to earth, nothing else matters. From a Christian viewpoint, the Devil and the demons are still loose, we still have sickness, natural disasters and a host of other problems to deal with, and no Christian is enjoying living in the city of New Jerusalem.

What is Jesus waiting for? Matthew 24:14 says "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come." What is the point of this Scripture? Certainly not to let everyone hear the gospel message. Over the last 2,000 years many millions of people have died without ever having heard the gospel message.

Take this mythically and archetypically!

The new covenant of love and grace and eternal life comes because God has sacrificed his son, like Abraham and Isaac, in heaven, and has fulfilled the law!

Paul had a vision! We now know you can induce ecstasy and religious visions by prodding certain bits of the brain.

He spent the rest of his life trying to put into words his experience, quite successfully in some ways! He slips into grump mode as well at certain points!

So "Christ is risen indeed" is quite correct and psychologically very important as it gives us all a way around death. Xianity allows us to say "fuck death!". It might not be true but it feels bloody good to do that!

And that psychological advantage does help people to win battles and do what they might not have! Generals have known this for millenia!

Johnny: I asked in my title "Did the Resurrection provide Christians with any tangible benefits?" I should have said "tangible benefits that can reasonably be proven to have come from God?"

Do you have a methodology for reasonably proving that anything has come from God?
