Default What are the ESSENTIALS of Xtianity??

Over 200 sects claim to be xtian. Presumably, none of them agree on every doctrine. One group says all you have to do to get to heaven is accept JC before you die (even after raping and molesting children, etc). Another says that's not the case. One says your faith is the key, another says your good works are. One says it's predestined who will go to heaven, another says no....ad infinitum.

Is there a core list of tenets that all of these sects agree on? It's very different to have a discussion about the bible with a Catholic vs a Baptist.

200? This says more than 1,500 and that seems kind low to me.

Julian

P.S. And no, there is nothing that all christian sects agree on.
