Since it could not be an eclipse as described, where is the evidence that other civilizations recorded a three-hour darkness? There was not a link in the post that made this claim.

I think this is good evidence that the Gospel of Matthew (the only one that mentions the supernatural darkness) was written decades later. A total eclipse in Palestine would have been a very significant event: hardly surprising that "Matthew" would seek to weave it into his story, and maybe he thought he could get away with altering the details if it was many years before the time he was writing.
Of course, this is the same guy who didn't hesitate to rip OT verses out of context to create bogus "prophecies" for Jesus to fulfil, and who invented the "Night of the Living Dead" zombie incursion (which nobody else considered noteworthy). Arguably the most dishonest of the Gospel authors, hence the one most likely to do this. |

Well, so much for skeptics being unable to prove the ten wrong. That didn't even look hard.

The fact that those things cannot be disproven only helps to assert the fact that jesus does not exist.

Hello again!
I've been having fun with some Heretics and Apostates over on another forum! How was Easter for the Atheistic nihilists here? Professor Thomas Arnold, former chair of history at Oxford, and author of the famous volumes, History of Rome, was skillfully educated in the study of historical facts. Professor Arnold, stated, "I have been used for many years to study the histories of other times, and to examine and weigh the evidence of those who have written about them, and I know of no one fact in the history of mankind which is PROVED BY BETTER AND FULLER EVIDENCE of every sort, than the great sign which God has given us that Christ died and rose again from the dead." |
