Improved production of food and other necessities, and at some point also improved hygiene and health care.

Doesn't it mean anything that in Genesis 1 "God said" and in Gen.2 "Lord God formed" while in Gen.3 "like god" was banned from Eden who was never created was called into existence in addition to our image of God?
The words "will be like gods and know"suggests a conscious awareness that is based on the Tree of Knowledge, thereby creating the second identity that is banned from Eden = the division in our own mind that is at enmity with each other (also among the daughters of Lucy). |

It's a giant computer game. The Devil's winning 999,000 points to zero at the moment. Expect God to hit the "reset" button any minute now.

You could also apply this line of questioning to Christianity compared with other religions. You would think that a Perfect Being, such as the Christian God, would've taken into account, since He knows everything from then, to now, to the future, that the Earth would have a plethora of other Gods and religions to choose from and instead of giving us a book of broken and often inaccurate history and fictitious stories to be our guide to Him, instead he would've givin us a Manual to the Christian faith with set guide lines and rules to live by in order to be a Christian. I'm not a genius or anything but I would think a Perfect Being would've have known all of this and wouldn't have allowed for all the confusion and doubt. |
